MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS EVE 2015

My husband and I have been together for three Christmas Eves, but this year was the first one as husband and wife.

We traditionally spend Christmas Day at my sister-in-law’s in Connecticut. I baked brownies for them this Christmas Eve morning.

For dinner, we went to Asiate at Mandarin Oriental.

With the beautiful view of NYC, we enjoyed the Asian fusion French dinner course.

Like anywhere else in the world, perhaps, it’s been strangely warm in NYC this winter. It lacks the real New York Christmas feeling because of that, but it was also somehow more pleasant to walk around in Midtown after the dinner without the chill. From the famous Bergdorf’s window display to the lovely larger-than-life candy cane ornaments, the beauty of the city around this time is one of a kind.

People say that this Christmas is going to be the warmest one ever in NYC. For me, personally, it felt warm to spend our first Christmas Eve with my husband as a married couple for the first time.
