One of the most interesting things about living in NYC is the ability to have access to different things from various countries or cultures – no matter what your interests are, such as art, fashion, music, etc., or in my case, beauty! I’m happy to present today’s post, thanks to a collaboration with my Argentinian friend from Parsons. She has successfully launched the e-commerce website Indie Beauty, which carries a wide range of beauty products.
ニューヨークに住んでいると、様々な国や文化発祥のものと出会えるのが楽しい！アートやファッションや音楽や、何であってもそれは言えることだけれど、私にとってそれはビューティ。今日の記事は、Parsons で一緒に勉強したアルゼンチン出身の友人とのコラボレーションで実現したよ。彼女はアルゼンチンで幅広いビューティ プロダクトを展開する Indie Beauty というサイトをスタートさせたのだ。
After studying Fashion Marketing at Parsons in NYC, she returned home and shifted her career from fashion to beauty, incorporating her fashion business knowledge into the beauty world. The beauty industry is quite trend-sensitive, just like fashion, but at the same, personal connection is also a very important key factor when you choose a brand or product for skincare and makeup.
ファッション マーケティングを勉強した後、彼女は母国であるアルゼンチンに戻り、ファッション マーケティングの知識を生かしてビューティ ビジネスで新しいキャリアをスタートさせた。ビューティの世界は、まさにファッション同様、トレンドに大きく影響を受ける。その一方で、スキンケアやメイクアップを選ぶ際、パーソナル レベルでのブランドやプロダクトとの繋がりも非常に重要になってくる。
She has two main focal points for curation – one is indie, and the other is Argentinian. From both standpoints, she picks quality brands and products that are natural, sustainable, locally sourced, and have passion. I’m personally amazed by her visions in today’s beauty world, where mainstream mega brands dominate the global market. I would like to support her mission and I look forward to seeing her business grow!

My absolute favorite is this eye contour serum by La Rosa. It has matcha, which is good for depuffing your udereye area, and jojoba oil, which is naturally nourishing and moisturizing. I started using this as part of my morning skincare routine, and this is a perfect, light-textured eye serum for summer. It wakes me up, brightens the dullness, and sits nicely on my skin, with makeup going smoothly on top.
とっておきのお気に入りは La Rosa というブランドのアイ コントゥアー セラム。配合されている抹茶は目元のむくみや腫れぼったさを解消してくれて、そしてホホバオイルが栄養と潤いを与えてくれる。朝のスキンケアの一環として使い始めて、まさに夏に本当にぴったりのアイ セラムだと感じている。しゃきっとさせてくれて、明るくしてくれて、そして肌なじみがいいのでその後のメイクアップもスムースにのるよ。
The other favorite, which is also perfect for summer, is this olive oil & green clay soap by Linda. While the natural green clay gently helps eliminate excess oil, dead skin cells, and any other impurities, organic extra virgin olive oil adds rich moisture to fresh skin. It gives a perfect balance of exfoliation and moisture, and is very pleasant for summer use. One more thing to mention – it smells dreamy!
もうひとつのお気に入りも夏にぴったりの商品、Linda のオリーブ オイルとグリーン クレイの石鹸。グリーン クレイが余分な皮脂や角質、その他の不要なものを優しく取り除き、オーガニック エクストラ ヴァージン オリーブ オイルがしっとりとした潤いを与えてくれる。真夏に嬉しい、角質ケアと潤いケアが同時にできる石鹸。優しくてほのかに甘い香りも大好き。
