A wise old man once said “A picture is worth a thousand words.” and now in the 21st century, so is Instagram – maybe.
So yes, I have to admit that my life hugely depends on Instagram. It is just one social media platform, but it does so much. I usually search Instagram first rather than Google, using geotags and hashtags, and I believe a lot of people do that too!
Instagram has totally changed people’s viewpoints. Just one square picture with a short caption can tell so much – we actually don’t need anything more than that. I get a lot of information on my Instagram feed and it takes me to a lot of new places.
This is about my five personal favorite Instagram accounts to follow. Yes, it is PERSONAL.
This account is for all the girls who “have that thing with sleeves”! It features so many great pictures of cute sleeves only. Do you have that thing?
My sleeve was once featured on their feed as well!
The next is of one of my favorite fashion designers, Simon Porte Jacquemus. I love his clothes and accessories, but also his Instagram feed is amazing since he usually posts three images together as one entry. Isn’t it a smart way of utilizing the square-cut pictures and also the three-lined columns of Instagram?
His Instagram Story is also great – simple but very creative short videos.
Lauren Faye is up next, the creative director at Clo Studio, based in London. She has a lot of edgy yet feminine images loaded on her feed. Full of inspiration!
I love this account. It has all cute, whimsical, and magical images. It feels like you are flipping through a great art book.
The last one is dedicated to just one kind of plant called Pilea, which I’m obsessed with currently. It has cute round-shaped leaves. I visited the Flower District in Manhattan to look for Pilea, but I was not able to find any. Does anybody have any idea where to get Pilea plants in NYC?
Are those images worth thousands of words?
