MANUS x MACHINA

May is the time for the Met’s fashion exhibition!

This year’s theme is “MANUS x MACHINA – Fashion in an Age of Technology”, where we witness “how fashion designers are reconciling the handmade and the machine-made in the creation of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear”.

I went there a couple of weeks ago and it was such an incredible exhibition. Well spoken, well visualized.

Raf Simons’s world with House of Dior… It’s unfortunate that he left Dior… I wish I could see more of his work there.

The other great modern era of Dior – John Galliano.

SIGH.. The moment you feel happy that you picked this creative industry.

The juxtaposition of human hands and technology is very interesting, yet, this exhibition’s focus is not to see the differences between them. It is simply more about the incredibility of designers’ devotion to fashion in these two major ways.
