I very much needed this: a long holiday weekend, especially after my restless business trip to Paris.
The weather today was amazing for a picnic in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow. The beautiful sunshine and the intermittent breeze made for a perfect picnic.
My picnic is usually homemade. Nothing really fancy; just taking any food that we feel like bringing from home and eating it on the grass makes it special. That’s the magic of a picnic that I’m in love with. Today’s menu was egg salad bagel sandwiches, pasta salad with fresh veggies, fruit salad, cheese and nuts, yogurt, and brownie brittle. PERFECT!
Some girls were having a cute party with “Happy July 4th” banners. So relaxing.
Summer is almost here in NYC. It has been nice so far; not too hot or humid yet. Picnicking has been one of my hobbies since I moved to NYC, and I also love watching movies outside at night in the summer. So many interesting programs are scheduled this summer apparently. It’s not my favorite season, yet, I can’t deny that it’s fun to make a list of things to do every summer.
